ABOUT THIS WATERSHED
A beautiful view of the Mississippi River where a 18 inch-wide trickle of the unnamed stream flows into the river on a sunny day in south St. Louis County. The “grand canyon of mud” on either side of the tiny stream reminds us of the torrents of storm water that flow to the streams from our roofs and parking lots in a heavy rain. The size of the sculptural marker, or cairn, gives you an idea of the scale of the approximately 30-foot-wide erosion. The total height of the repurposed-glass cairn is 48 inches.
