SWAMP SENTINEL

Hok-Si-La City Park and Campground, Lake City, Minnesota—June 2016 44° 28’ 12.26”N 92° 17’ 36.03”W  Elevation 807 feet

This cairn is situated in a swamp along the entrance to Hok-Si-La, a 252-acre, municipally owned-and-operated park and campground on the Minnesota side of Lake Pepin. The Boy Scouts chose the name for this park: It means “boy” in the Dakota Sioux language.
