The Ohio River work is important to Watershed Cairns’ work to draw attention to the Mississippi Watershed, the land between the Rocky and the Appalachian Mountains, where streams and rivers flow into the Mississippi River. The Mississippi is the fourth-largest river system on Earth. where all the water flows into the Mississippi River and down into the Gulf of Mexico.
